If you love original handmade dolls, whether they be folk art dolls, primitive dolls, grungy dolls, or dolls a little more on the traditional side, I've got them!
My dolls are all One of A Kind, handmade and designed by me. They each come signed and dated, and each one has a personality of it's own.
I like my dolls to have a time-worn look, so
I search out thrift stores, antique shops,and estate sales to purchase vintage quilts, vintage fabrics, vintage trims and vintage buttons. Some of my Christmas dolls are also adorned with fur.
I try to bring bring out their personalities by drawing their faces with pencil water color and acrylic paints; their individuality comes out through their eyes. I then seal them to prevent fading or smearing. If you are custom ordering a doll, please let me know what eye color and hair color you want.
If I don't have what you are looking for, I will custom make you a doll, a Primitive or Old World Santa, Snowmen, Angels, Nativity Set, Teddy Bear, and if you have a special little girl in your life who loves and collects American Girl dolls, you are in the right place! I am going to be doing a line of doll clothes, shoes and accessories in all styles.
Below is a custom order for my new dear friend, Isabelle, who lives in France. George Washington and his faithful horse Blueskin, were made from a pattern designed by Susan of Prim and Proper Folks. I drew the face to my own design, and also did my own stick horse. Thank you Isabelle, for giving me such a great challenge!
